Casino Game API Integration: A Guide for Operators
Integrating a casino game API starts with the platform, the game catalog and the wallet model. Before activation, both teams need to agree on how players, sessions, balances and transaction results move between systems, then test the critical paths together.
What your integration team should prepare.
Map your existing platform
Document the platform technology, available environments and player identifiers. Identify who maintains the user account and the balance. Share the games and providers you want to connect, then confirm the catalog and commercial conditions that apply to your operation and intended markets.
Agree on authentication and game launch
Request the documentation for credentials, request authentication and session creation. Define how the platform identifies a player, launches a game and handles an expired session. Store private credentials on the integration server, with access limited to the systems that need them.
Define wallet transactions and callbacks
Identify which system is the source of truth for the balance. Agree on balance queries, debits, credits, round results and unique transaction identifiers. Document how both systems respond to duplicates, insufficient balance and temporary failures. A timeout alone does not prove whether a transaction was processed.
Test reconciliation and failure scenarios
Test game launch, successful transactions, insufficient balance, repeated notifications and interrupted connections. Compare the records held by each system using transaction and round identifiers. Agree on how pending or ambiguous events will be investigated before any retry or financial adjustment.
Prepare acceptance and the operating handoff
Define acceptance criteria, support contacts and responsibilities before activation. Confirm how catalog or interface changes are communicated and how incidents are escalated. Keep pricing, availability, maintenance and any service commitments in the agreed proposal rather than assuming they are included.
